FB MUD 57 – Rose Bush Replacement in District

Jul 28, 2023

Beginning in August, FBMUD 57 will begin removal of all rose bushes within the district due to the regional spread of Rose Rosette disease. In early Spring, the District will be evaluating and accepting proposals for the replacement of the removed rose bushes.

Rose Rosette is affecting the entire southwest section of the Houston greater area. It affects only roses and no other type of plants or flowers. The origin of the disease, its implications and longevity are unknown however it does spread quickly through the air and has the potential to infect all roses in the region.

Please note, this is not harmful to people, pets or any other plants.
